In January 2018, Clint Flores assumed the role of Malta's Political and Security Committee Ambassador to the EU. Throughout his tenure, Clint dedicated his efforts to enhancing security in the Mediterranean, with a particular focus on Common Security and Defence Policy (CSDP) missions, including Operation Sophia and Operation Irini, as well as humanitarian aid initiatives.
Notably, during Malta's presidency of the EU Council, Clint was appointed President of the Budget Committee in Council. In this influential position, he played a key role in leading the final stages of negotiations for the Multiannual Financial Framework's mid-term review. Additionally, Clint successfully coordinated negotiations to establish a Council position on the revision of the EU's financial regulation.
Clint Flores possesses a Master's degree of Science in Economics and Finance from the University of York, which has provided him with a strong academic foundation for his diplomatic and leadership endeavours.
Currently, Clint serves as the Head of ESG for the Bank of Valletta Plc and focuses on the integration of climate and environmental risks for financial institutions.
