At the age of 27, Linda Mabhena-Olagunju became the owner of one of Africa’s largest wind farms. Globally she is the first black woman to own renewable energy power plants. She is a unique African voice on the matter of climate change and the just energy transition. Over and above her roles in the energy sector Linda is an experienced executive, she was the youngest member to be appointed to the University of Oxford’s International Advisory Board. In 2023 she was listed as one of the most influential women in Africa by New African Magazine. She was also listed on Oprah Winfrey’s Power List and has been featured on the cover of Forbes Africa.

She is the recipient of the 2017 Veuve Clicquot Businesswomen Award as well the prestigious CNBC all Africa Business Leaders Awards. Linda is a seasoned speaker who navigates effortlessly in discussing highly complex subject matters such as climate change, energy security and funding to board room strategy, corporate governance and business leadership. Her wealth of knowledge is vast and she can share her learnings as a business leader that has managed to break many glass ceilings. She is a wife and a mother.
