Chief Executive of Aġenzija Żgħażagħ

Miriam Teuma has been Chief Executive of Aġenzija Żgħażagħ, Malta's national youth agency, since her appointment in 2010. As Chief Executive, she is responsible for implementing Malta's national youth policy Towards 2030 - Reaching out to, working with and supporting young people. She is a visiting Senior Lecturer in Youth and Community Studies at the University of Malta.

Miriam Teuma has extensive experience at the European Union, Council of Europe, Commonwealth and international level on youth-related issues and has contributed papers and publications on youth work policy and practice to several international studies. She has also chaired and led a number of working groups at the European and International levels in the past years.
Presently she is a bureau member of the Council of Europe's Steering Committee for Youth (CDEJ).
