Clint Flores was appointed as Malta’s Political and Security Committee Ambassador to the EU in January 2018. During his tenure Clint focused primarily on the security in the Mediterranean, with special attention to CSDP missions, including Operation Sophia and Operation Irini, as well as humanitarian aid.
Furthermore, during Malta’s presidency of the EU Council, Clint was appointed President of the Budget Committee in Council and led the final stages of the negotiations of the Multiannual Financial Framework’s mid-term review and coordinated the negotiations to achieve a Council position on the financial regulation revision of the EU. Clint Flores holds a Master’s degree of Science in Economics and Finance from the University of York. Clint is currently specialising in the integration of Climate and Environmental Risks for banks and financial institutions.
