David Xuereb

(Chairman, Occupational Health & Safety Authority)

Best known for actively championing sustainability causes in the field of Sustainable Design and the Green Building Industry in the past 15 years, David Xuereb is currently a strong voice in ESG.

He led reputable professional services companies in many parts of the world in the Built Environment industry and continues to exude his varied technical experience in Malta.

David is currently the Chairman of the Occupational Health and Safety Authority and a director on the new Building and Construction Authority in Malta. He also provides consultancy on change and risk management in relation to ESG, Decarbonisation and Climate Change in the private sector.

Prior to that, he was President of the Malta Chamber of Commerce Enterprise and Industry until March 2021.

He graduated in Architecture and Civil Engineering in Malta in 1991, Structural Engineering in London in 1993 and Zero-Carbon Economics in Cambridge in 2021.

David sits on the National Climate Action Board and forms part of a team drafting the national standard for sustainability in the Built Environment.
